Wantaiyuan was founded in the tenth year of the Xianfeng reign of the Qing Dynasty (1860) and is a well-known brand in Zhejiang Province. Wantai Yuan Tea House was one of the top ten tea houses in Hangzhou during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. "Jiahe Bande" was its motto, and its representative products include "Ruxue Longjing", "Ginseng Tea Cream", "Sanqing Tea", etc. It has won many awards, such as the first-class award at the 1915 Panama World Expo, the first-class award at the 1926 Philadelphia World Expo, and the gold award at the 1929 West Lake Expo. Since the 21st century, as the country attaches importance to and protects traditional culture, more and more people with lofty ideals have begun to pay attention to the inheritance and restoration of time-honored brands. The fifth-generation inheritor of Wantaiyuan spent many years to comprehensively sort out the historical heritage and brand culture of "Wantaiyuan Tea House" and won the title of "Zhejiang Time-honored Brand" in May 2016.
